To start out, we don't need to store it

Until there is excess power produced by these methods, there is no need to store the power produced by these methods if the site is grid tied.

In fact, there is significant value in having a solar boost on the grid. Solar produces power during the times when the power demands are the highest, hot weather when people are at work and cranking up their AC.On Intermittency and storage posted 3 years, 6 months ago 11 Responses

    It was meant as sarcasm.

Though I meant it as sarcasm, there is a lot of truth to it.

The Catholics in Italy is not a great example because you aren't comparing the children to their parents, you are comparing them to the image of their religion.

While the coorelation of children's political leanings to their paren'ts is not 100%, it is still statistically much higher than 50%.

Our parents are still the most influential people in our formative years. We rebel in some ways, some of us more than others, but we still have everything they taught us during those years programmed into us.

We need to out reproduce them!

All we have to do is get all the sensible people in favor of population control to have lots of kids and raise them the same way. Then in a couple of generations, we can out-vote the religious fanatics.

I always found more than a little irony in the idea that the world is full of people that should not be reproducing, but they seem to be the most productive at it. While those that are the best suited choose to have the fewest.

The lack of RT still amazes me

Western Washington has a very good bus system, but other tan that every attempt at mass transit seems to get bogged down with stupidity.

They run the sounder trains from tacoma up to seattle, 3 of them within an hour in the morning and 3 in an hour back in the evening. I don't know anyone that takes them for fear of getting stuck in the city if they miss the train back.

Of course, you mentioned the monorail, whach has been a joke all along.

The people out here are in favor of mass transit, it's just the polititians that can't seem to figure out how to implement it.On Green mayors and red queens posted 3 years, 11 months ago 3 Responses

    She is pissed!

Mother Nature is pissed off, and she is trying to hit us with a clue bat.
