AGW is dogma for you guys
Sorry Bio Guy,
You got on the wrong bus, the short one where window licking is required along with blind, unwavering, lock-stepping, right along with all the socialists. This is political not scientific. That's why you try to take a vote (a.k.a. consensus) to determine what's happening to the climate. 1 degree C in the last 100 years! Oh my! If global warming and cooling occurred before the industrial activities of man and now it's happening again, only a socialist would blame it on man, not a scientist.

I'm glad to know you're the one to talk to...
...to get ANWR opened up, you elitist idiot! Who died and annointed you with the keys to ANWR? I think the market, read all of us, can and will solve this "problem" in due time and way better than legislation. Every auto maker who can and does improve mpgs gains a marketing advantage so no auto maker will intentionally NOT pursue greater fuel efficiency.
As for Iraq for oil, where's the US keeping all that oil that's tripled the price since March 2003? You just can't tell other people how to behave. Oh wait, you can with your activist judges who legislate from the bench. You guys sure are smart! On No supply-side energy solution will come to our rescue posted 2 years, 1 month ago 16 Responses

And your position on nuclear energy is....????
You can't possibly be against nuclear energy, can you Dave? France sure isn't. And exactly how many people have died in France from nuclear accidents lately or ever? Hmmmm, NONE! So let's commission a bunch of them all over the US. What do you say? C'mon, at least be rational...On French prez Sarkozy backs carbon tax posted 2 years, 1 month ago 2 Responses

We should all garden, and not just pretty flowers
I'm not a total naysayer to everything in here. Composting, vegetable gardening, recycling, conserving, car pooling, etc., are all worthwhile activities. The common theme to many things I support is not wasting anything that has value, even minimal value to you or others. What I do rail against is anti-capitalism. So much of what I've read in here is just veiled AC. You didn't eat, wear, read, surf, ride, or listen to anything today that didn't come to you by way of capitalism. Realize it, revel in it, rejoice in it, embrace it, take risks in it, and be rewarded for doing that wisely. Otherwise make your own clothes from sheep you raise in your backyard and the loom in your basement, er, grass hut.On Dialing local ag up from its very source posted 2 years, 1 month ago 3 Responses

What about ANWR, what about off shore?
Huh? Sure we're approaching Peak Oil if we haven't rolled over it already and higher oil/gasoline prices will spur development of alternative energy sources. But why not get our oil from our own sources? Like it or not we still need fossil fuels. Don't even try to tell me it's the environment that will suffer if we drill in and around the US. Otherwise you'd be all over Castro for doing it.
