fuel conscious Nissan
I think that this should be standard on all new cars sold. This is truly a good environmental action plan that will further Nissan's Green Program for 2010. It is always cool to be driving with fuel efficiency in mind. Now this makes me wanna buy that 2007 Nissan Altima I have always hoped for 2 years ago. Prius still on the rise
As of now many have thought that the Prius was just a fad that would eventually lose its luster. But now that the gas price moves nearly $4.00 per gallon, I wouldn't be surprised if the Prius will once again become a scarcity in showrooms and Toyota will no longer be threatened even a bit with sales competition. On Hybrid Lowdown posted 1 year, 8 months ago 3 Responses

more fuel-cell SUVs
Another thing to note is that though fuel-cell vehicles themselves may emit nothing but water vapor, the process of producing fuel cells from hydrocarbons will just continue America's dependence on fossil fuels and leave behind carbon dioxide which sadly is the primary cause of global warming.
Major automakers are still optimistic about fuel cells, convinced they are even more cleaner and efficient compared to hydrogen internal combustion engines. Now I am more excited to see if plans will materialize about Nissan Frontier pickups and large cargo vans with greener truck parts that run on fuel cells and hydrogen.
I hope that the likes of BMW's Hydrogen Seven and Honda's FCX will not just be a thing of the past.

One small step towards a big leap
We are aware that even automakers have devoted huge sums for facilitating auto mobility but reducing greenhouse gas emissions to 1990 levels in 2020 still seems a far fetched idea. Now how about if we opt for alternative auto body parts instead such as those fuel savers and emission-reducing car accessory? Just a thought though.

more cleaner-burning SUVs please
Probably the most logical thing we can do right now for climate change is something that we already know how to do, and that is to upgrade efficiency at the bottom end of the fleet.
*Unless we switch to cleaner vehicles, global warming is projected to degrade local ecosystems, seriously disrupt agriculture, and trigger potentially catastropic sea-level rise.
*SUVs emit 40% more global-warming pollution than an average car. In fact, switching from driving an average car to a 13 mpg SUV for one year wastes more energy than leaving a refrigerator door open six years.
*In 2002, SUV drivers paid on average $350/yr more for gas than drivers of average mpg cars.
After learning this facts recently I am now thinking seriously about trading my SUV. I drive a 2007 Durango and I am willing to trade my Dodge parts for some fuel-saving family vehicle.
