McCain half-assed on climate
Proposing a non-mandatory cap on GHG emissions is just half-assed. I'm worried that no matter who wins they won't do enough to address an issue that America is clearly a day late and a dollar short on. If we as the world's leader in oil consumption and GHG emissions do not take serious measures to change our position we will be screwed. There is no "fixing" the West Antarctic Ice Sheet once it has collapsed and there should be no half-measures proposed by anyone who takes this issue seriously. If you don't demand the a solution that fixes the problem you will never get one.On How strong is McCain's commitment to fighting global warming? posted 1 year, 8 months ago 16 Responses

Up to here
Maybe after a few years of stewing in the collective crock of crap we are in will soften the dense skulls of environmental detractors. Maybe then some bits of scientifically sound information will eek it's way in through osmosis. Maybe then it will be too late. I am tired of always hearing the same lies and BS from people who regurgitate it ad nauseum. Just because you are too lazy to investigate both sides for yourself and develop your own understanding of the situation doesn't make you right. You don't have to be crazy to actually consider that what the other side might in fact be right and make your own determination based on the MOST ACCURATE information at your disposal.
I'll be damned if it wasn't the widely disseminated truth that a shipment of aluminum tubes constituted evidence of WMD's a few years ago when I was saying that was BS too.On How strong is McCain's commitment to fighting global warming? posted 1 year, 8 months ago 16 Responses

Hey - and Hagel is here too
Wow - Chuck Hagel is in your documentary too (4:23 time mark in Part 1). This seems to in fact back up my commentary on Sara Hessenflow Harper above. Smoke and mirrors does not an argument make.On How strong is McCain's commitment to fighting global warming? posted 1 year, 8 months ago 16 Responses

Still think I'm full of it?
Go back and look at your documentary (specifically the 3:20 time mark in Part 1)- Tim Ball is stated as being a part of the Dept of Climatology at the University of Winnipeg. He has not been a part of that dept since 1996. Don't believe me - look for yourself:

Ugh - another one
Ever notice how all those "documentaries" about climate change being BS have the same handfull of people in them and they are produced by the same institutions?
I will go over one of the groups and one of the people here. I could go on and I could debunk the whole freaken documentary but my patience for stupid people is wearing thin.
Tim Ball is one of the handfull of shills who are regularly dusted off and paraded around by conservatives as a dissenting scientist. Keep an eye peeled for his shiny cranium the next time you see a "Global warming is a sham to steal all of your money through taxes" expose.

He is also one of the founders of "Friends of Science"

Dispite his claims to the contrary in Glenn Beck's Exposed: Climate of Fear - Ball regularly recieves oil industry funding.
BALL: "If I had gone along with the prevailing wisdom, the funding would have been enormous. Instead, I`m accused of getting the money from the oil company, which is simply a lie."
Cry me a river - I don't for a second believe you are soo persecuted as a skeptic "because the other 99% of the scientific community is just plain greedy and corruptible." - WAH! The reason Ball is not IN the scientific community is he hasn't published anything since 1996. That's 12 years of sucking on the oily teat without any research contribution. The research he did do was to study climate change based off of Hudson Bay Company and other historical Canadian records from 1714-1910. Giving him ZERO experience with current climate models or anything related to THE LAST HUNDRED YEARS.
You may not receive it directly Ball - but founding the funding group "Friends of Science" to receive the funds and then giving them to yourself does not change the origin of the money.
I'll leave you with this:
