Coal or Nuclear
I have heard the argument if you are against coal you have to be for nuclear and if you are against nuclear you have to be for coal. The reasoning is they are the only two technologies that can provide the needed baseload and that solar, wind, geothermal can only provide peak. Any thoughts on this argument? On The Biden-Obama position on 'clean coal' is not a mistake posted 1 year, 1 month ago 50 Responses

Trolls and Deniers
Are the trolls and deniers (one in the same it appears) on this site all so self centered? No real facts so they attack other posters. How sad.On Gallup polls indicate that Republicans are less likely to recognize global warming posted 1 year, 1 month ago 52 Responses

If?
While an invasive might not be a predator, how do you know it is not a predator or if it will be beneficial? Or does not carry parasites or disease that will devastate natives? When is the last time you saw an eastern chestnut or hemlock tree? Your article is a bit loose and flippant about the risks. Humans keep trying to outdo nature and it bites us in the rear almost every time.On Could invasive species be a good thing? posted 1 year, 2 months ago 9 Responses

Wiscidea, My Apologies As Well
Sorry for my knee jerk reaction to what seemed like yet another slam to enviornmentalists. I have heard environmentalists blamed for a huge number of things and being the 'bad people' for so long it finally welled up. Thank you for your clarification.

Photovoltaic Systems
First, I am an environmentalist and I do not feel deserts are barren wastelands!
Second, I do not support big solar installations destruction of desert lands by these installations or the infrastructure needed by them.
Third, I do support solar panels on rooftops. I have both solar PV and solar hot water on my roof. Do you or do you just blow hot air about it?
Fourth, Try not to make sweeping assertions as you will find you are wrong most of the time.
