  Does anyone here care that we have gone 30-years without building a new refinery? It is impossible to continue growing as nation without a proportional increase in our resources. Just because YOU don't drive, doesn't mean your neighbor, grandmother, or I shouldn't have access to motor fuels. Artificially increasing the price of diesel/gasoline by obstructing the construction of new refineries is tantamount to thuggery and intimidation.  

  Refining capacity is a major factor in the retail price of gasoline. Intentionally suffocating this industry is criminal.

  You should also consider that if this gasoline is not produced in South Dakota, it will be produced elsewhere. Do you think granola heads will be suing refiners in Venezuela, Mexico, or any other emerging economy? No. Keep your mouth shut as the net pollution/embodied energy & resources consumption will be as low as economically possible.   Obama lacks substance.

  Obama is the definition of an empty suit but I liked his candor in that situation. He is good looking, likable, and charming but I think his convictions drop off sharply.

  Anyone who thinks the government is capable of running a universal health care system lacks true intelligence. Get a clue people.

  A couple of questions...

  Why are beggars allowed to be choosers in this or any case? Why is anyone listening to Africa about anything? I don't think we or anyone who eats three meals a day should accept agricultural advice from any African nation.

  Take the 'GM' food and shut up. Better yet, redirect every dollar currently funding domestic food aid and ship it to any nation that APPRECIATES it. If you live in this country and cannot feed yourself or your family you are worthless and should go hungry.

  I wish our cowardly politicians would just do what makes sense. Instead they burden hard working people with the problems of those who do not work or make poor decisions in life, i.e. Food Stamps, Medicaid, Universal Healthcare, subsidized housing, etc.
