Who'd a thunkit?
I am glad that states are getting together and making regional and local commitments to decreasing GHG...I am thinking this is because they are closer to us little people who WANT to be clean n green. Obviously we can't seem to get anything done at the Federal level.

and another thing
S 1776 is downright idiotic. It assumes all kinds of things that just won't happen.

Horrifying
I can't say anything here that doesn't sound sophomoric, like How Horrible and This is a Bad Thing. When I read things like this I feel as if I have been punched in the gut. Do these people respond to anything other than money? Are they really people? On Federal officials suggest killing sea lions to protect salmon posted 1 year, 9 months ago 40 Responses

cap and trade or carbon tax
I hope that we can take a cue from the EU on cap-and-trade, or else impose a carbon tax. I think the creation of another market is going to appeal to the right more than a tax, simply because it is called a tax. If the GOP wins the US election this year we're in for a rough ride. Remember: Every time you vote Republican, God kills a kitten.
