Seriously! I'm so sick of same old... yet finding speakers is no easy task because they need to be knowledgeable, experienced, authentic and interesting all at once.

And even when you find one, sometimes they have a work conflict pop up!

Why is the only keynote Ray or Bill?... because it seems safe...

Why panels (and TED talks)?... because people often pay to attend a conference based on who's speaking... and panels / TED talks fit more people

Sure there are a ton of events out there now, but putting on a great event takes relentless dedication, sophistication and lots of work to make sure the panels don't suck, the talks aren't superficial and anecdotal, and the party is great.

Ultimately, the events that provide real OPPORTUNITY, creativity/vision and fun will continue to get attendees and the others will go away like so many tech conferences during the early 2000s.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to reading your book!
