  Muddy the waters

  Thank you for the excellent article on the reality of what is IN the flood waters in Iowa.

  I happen to live in one of those 24 counties currently a federal disaster area.  I knew about the Ag run off and chemical treatments municipalities use to make the water supply "safe" but the flooding the last two weeks has been a real eye opener. Just one example: some small towns in Iowa began purposefully pumping raw sewage into the water when their water systems were flooding. It is probably common place, but some thing that I didn't realize happens until the floods.

  I look around and see the devastation and just get so angry when I know that this disaster is man made.
