  Despite opposition from the Sierra Club, the Ohio Environmental Council, HSUS and other environmental groups, as well as the League of Women Voters and several Ohio newspapers, it was inevitable that Issue 2's phony reform package would pass, and it did. The Farm Bureau and other Big Ag interests spent money, Governor Strickland lent his voice to a robo-call effort, and as you say, on its face Issue 2 sounds like a real measure to stop cruelty to livestock. I hope that Wayne Pacelle and HSUS come to Ohio with a real livestock reform measure.
