The OMG

Environmental degradation threatens some of the world's most fascinating creatures in their native habitats. The Amazon rainforest. The Arctic. The coastal waters of Indonesia. Malibu, Calif. This last one, home of Americanus celebritus, is of particular concern. Won't you find it in your hearts to help?

Blew in the face

Has it always been a dream of yours to make a movie about things that suck and blow? Well, you're a sick twist. For the rest of you, whip out your videocorders and make a short flick about why oil sucks and wind blows. You could win $10,000! We have about 50 "money shot" jokes queued up, but we just ... won't.

Beauty and the beasts

Elettra Rossellini Wiedemann, the new spokesmodel for French beauty company Lancome, is not only the daughter of Isabella Rossellini and granddaughter of Ingrid Bergman, but an avid conservationist. Watch your back, Summer Rayne. We'll watch your front.

Hurts so good

You know what the problem with weapons is? They kill people mess up the environment! So Brit arms dealer BAE Systems is introducing a line of eco-friendly weapons, like bullets with less lead and grenades with reduced smoke. As we would rather be rocked than killed (even cleanly), we rather prefer what this fellow's up to.

The ATL train is a swell train

Sustainable cities mean public transportation, but public transportation too often means ... ew. A PR firm is helping Atlanta tackle that unfortunate blinglessness, urging the city to outfit MARTA trains with leather couches and carts selling coffee and snacks. Showing up on time and reasonably clean would be cool too. OK, and a wet bar.
