Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin, the self-described "pigs" behind Skinny Bitch, shook up the diet world with their foul-mouthed vegan manifesto about the horrors of the food industry. Once the book was spotted in the hands of the über-skinny Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham, it raced to the top of the New York Times best-seller list and has since become one of the best-selling vegan books ever published -- arguably helping to catapult veganism from hippie to hip.
The new release Skinny Bitch In the Kitch is less an animal-rights shoutfest and more a how-to, with vegan recipes ranging from "bitchin' breakfasts" to "PMS (pissy mood snacks)."
So tomorrow it's lunch with Freedman while she's in town promoting the book. I'm anxious to ask her about the sometimes-not-so-rosy response to their ultra-thin ideal and how she feels about crediting a Spice Girl for their success. But what else should I ask?

Ben Franklin decided to become a vegetarian as a teenager after reading a book by an early animal rights proponent, Thomas Tryon (1660). He went back to more conventional diet at some point, figuring that if cod could eat other fish, then he could eat cod.

Outside of diet, what other main ways can a person support a vegan life style in their everyday living?
How do you deal with people that say things like "oh God put animals on earth for us to eat/use"?
P.s. I am veggie and gradually turning into vegan.
