He made a speech at an alt-fuel filling station in LA a year ago where he spoke of his agenda on climate change and alternative fuels.

He mentioned Darfur in that little catalogue of important issues, right after global warming. That surprised me a bit, because I do not remember him speaking much about how he would handle Darfur (and Sudan and China).
Another cause that he is fairly strong in supporting, but which is not likely to be talked about much by the campaign, is gay rights. In this letter from the end of February, he cannot go so far as to approve of same-sex marriage, but at least he promises to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act, one of the more disgraceful parts of Bill Clinton's legislative legacy:
