Treehugger TV's Simran Sethi was on Oprah for a short segment yesterday in a show devoted to global warming. Al Gore was on as well, and in passing Oprah referred to him as "our Noah" on global warming.
That really irritated Rush Limbaugh, and anything that chafes that dyspeptic old druggie pervert gasbag sounds like an unqualified success to me. Kudos.
The video of Sethi is below the fold.

What, do you suppose, is the point of writing Al Gore's name, in the Limbaugh transcript, always as "Algore"? Is that based on some odd little mean joke that Limbaugh made a long time ago? Is it supposed to have a vaguely Arabic sound, hence the man himself must be all the more evil and un-American?
On the other hand, Simran Sethi is a real star, hopefully a rising one. I love that she boldly embraces the titles "environmentalist" and "treehugger." I am inspired to put out some information on the recycling of Christmas trees by the mailboxes of my building, with an invitation that we should get together to discuss the greening of the building, especially working toward making it more energy-efficient, and doing something constructive with the roof.

In the end, it all comes down to biodiversity. Help acquire and protect ecological hotspots, give to a conservation organization: http://www.saveourbiodiversity.com
