The CAFTA vote 2

Don't miss Sam Rosenfeld's post on last night's CAFTA vote. It enough to turn the stomach. See also tpmcafe for a discussion thread and this intriguing mention of possible House voting shenanigans.

    resistance is futileLike so many others who visit Gristmill, I sent numerous letters to my senators opposing CAFTA, the putrid energy bill, the distortion of science, and the appointment of a conservative judge to the Supreme Court. It is wasted time. They couldn't care less what the masses want, what the environment needs, or what's good for our future. They are owned by the dollar- short term profits for big players. You can count the exceptions on one hand. The rest do not represent the people; what's worse, most people accept this as business as usual. They seem to believe that what is good for fat cats is good for the country. This is what years of apathy have gotten us- a broken, corrupt excuse for democracy. God help America- whatever the hell it is- whatever it has become.
    Somebody throw me a bone- a reason to hope? Anyone?

    Fight on.There is only one thing to say, the whole reason we fight on is mainly for the fight itself, the goal..eventual victory, is an illusion.
    We got the zen buddy.  Go out in the wilderness and get yours recharged.  aum.
    Onward.
