Tales of the bizarre

My aborted adventure on Fox 11

I'll tell you a little secret. Late last week, for a few brief, surreal hours, I was scheduled to appear on the Fox News show Hannity & Colmes to discuss ... well, allegedly the greening of the Oscars, but as anyone who's seen the show knows, the real topic was always going to be the hypocrisy of Hollywood limousine liberals blah blah.

If that's not bizarre enough, Ann Coulter was scheduled to appear opposite me.

And if that's not bizarre enough, hours after I was scheduled, I got bumped in favor of ... Darryl Hannah. Was it all some strange fever dream? Possibly.

Anyway, here's a short video from the show. There's plenty to say about it, but the most salient fact is, man, Ann Coulter is dumber than a box of rocks:

Ann Coulter is dumber than a box of rocksOh My God, you couldn't be more right on with that statement!  This woman needs to take a basic course about the environment.  I can't believe that Fox will employ such a negative, uneducated journalist, of course -this is Fox news...  Can anyone on this blog help me evaluate a new company that is posed to change the tipping point on the global warming issue:

I weep for AmericaUm, Fox News is not allowed on Canada just got into canada but way up on the digital band that most people can't get, so I have never seen these people.  Is it not customary for hosts to let their guest speak without interruption? Are there not rules of order and civility instead of just screaming out halftruths and lies? Are there not regulators of the airwaves that one can complain to?

But you know what, Dave?If you ever get another shot at something like that, unleash your sarcasm. "I would like to give my five seconds to Anne so she can make an even bigger ass of herself. Take it away Anne." You'd be on the Daily Show next, where it would really count.

Ann CoulterEvery time I see Coulter on TV (and I try not to), I wonder if she actually believes all the far-right wing blather she spews forth, or if it's all an act. I don't see how anyone could be so extremely one-sided who has an ounce of intelligence ... and anyone these days who continues to say global warming is just a big hoax, as she did on this Fox video clip, is a total moron.  Hasn't the White House even caved, finally, and admitted (since every scientist of any caliber in the world says it is real) that the climate is indeed warming, and that humans are largely responsible?
After all, she sells lots of books with this crap and right-wing conservatives eat it up and keep her rich by buying her books.
She is also probably the most vitriolic, hate-filled person I've ever seen.  A totally negative person.

FOX so-called newsI do not watch FOX.  FOX news coverage is yellow journalism at best.  If I had a list of businesses that advertise on FOX, I would boycott them.  If I had a list of celebrities who agree to appear on FOX, I'd boycott them too. But the best I can do is refuse to knowingly imbibe the hate-filled half-truths that FOX spews forth and calls "news".  It's probably for the best that you got "bumped".

Cutting back on energy is like cutting back on...oxygen?!?!? Um...NO. N.O.
NOT cutting back on energy is like, oh wait, it actually IS cutting back on oxygen. She's dumber than a box of rocks alright. Yes, Ann, you are right; coal-fired power plants and SUVs constantly pump oxygen into the air, so we must not believe the lies or else we will all suffocate to death.

Coal Fired Power Plants and SUVs?So let me see if I have this straight,
If coal fired power plants and SUVs pump out CO2, what do gas fired power plants and biodiesel VWs pump out?
    Cotton candy and hugs?
I won't defend Coulter - she is an idiot. Her only goal is to "cause controversy" so she can sell more books.
We should all agree that clearly Al Gore is a hypocrite of the highest order.  His profligate lifestyle and the fiction of "carbon offsets" are just too silly to defend.
