As for the story, while it would be untrue to say it is the greatest story I have ever read, I certainly agree that it is a most happy one. Plus, it is short, which counts for a great deal.
It would be useful to know what it means to knock coal in Utah right now, just a couple of months after a miserable mining disaster. Presumably the general anti-coal sentiment is running pretty high.
Chickens are our cousins! So are fish! So are other sentient animals! Let us learn to be kind.
