Rockin' in the warm world

Gore to announce climate-change concerts around the world 1

This July 7, the world will rock out in the name of stopping climate change. And at the head of it, global warming's resident rock star: Al Gore.

We mentioned this waaaay back in December, but news is hitting the rest of the dinosaurs mainstream media just today.

Much like the worldwide party that rocked in the name of erasing African poverty, this day of concerts will be a massive attempt to put a major issue on the map all around the globe. Events will be held on July 7 in London, Washington, D.C., Shanghai, Rio de Janeiro, Cape Town, and Kyoto.

According to reports, the acts lined up for this will "dwarf" the star power of Live 8 and Live Aid.

Rumor has it Gore will be announcing all this in London tomorrow. Who needs a slide show when you've got rock 'n' roll?
