"I think there is a handful of people who hate America. Unfortunately for them, a lot of them are losing their homes in a forest fire today."
-- CNN and syndicated radio host Glenn Beck, on the wildfires that have raged across San Diego county, killing at least one person, injuring four firefighters, scorching 100,000 acres, and driving 250,000 people from their homes.

who's he mean?
If he means to add insult to the injury of liberals, he is very confused: many of the injured are hardly liberal. Pepperdine University in Malibu is an arch-conservative stronghold, the lawschool of which is headed by Ken Starr. And San Diego and vicinity have been fairly reliably Republican-voting.

Another reason not to listen to TV or radio
So people can say things like this and keep their job. Whether people are conservative or liberal shouldn't be an issue to brand and automatically hate.

that show should be cancelled immediately
There is no evidence that San Diego "hates america". Where the heck did that even come from? What is there some war with San Diego now? What is wrong with that guy? He's basically creating some fake group of peopel who "hate america" and suddenly ascribing that to a region that lost its homes in a fire.
