Feds seek injunction stopping L.A., Long Beach clean-truck effort at ports 1

The Federal Maritime Commission voted this week to seek an injunction in federal court to halt portions of California's program to clean up older, dirty trucks at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach -- the nation's busiest. In a statement explaining its position, the commission said that portions of the cleaner-truck program, "are likely, by a reduction in competition, to produce an unreasonable increase in transportation cost or unreasonable reduction in service."

    Business Uber Alles!Typical American attitude, especially from the business class, which has no legitimacy and should be relegated to complying with regulations in stead of being allowed to prevent them.  Business is more important than clean air, yeah right!
