Pombo’s Earth Day message 3

The House Resources Committee -- headed by everyone's favorite Dick, Rep. Pombo (R-Calif.) -- has an Earth Day message for the masses.

To summarize: everything's great with the environment; environmentalists are hysterical fear-mongers; Ronald Reagan rulez.

There are so many things wrong...... with that message that it's hard to pick one to discuss... but was anyone else appalled by the grammar (or lack thereof)?  Doesn't anyone spell-check these things?
Check out the "big business" tab - their own arguments don't even make sense.  The big tagline says 1.8 BILLION DOLLARS in revenue, almost ZERO dollars for the environment (real, "muddy boots" environmental work, one assumes).  It makes a big deal of how all the money is going to lobbyists, but then only $32 million is going to lobbyists, and the CEO pay is actually pretty paltry.

Oh come on...Does this guy even read?
    What about THIS
    Or THIS?
Politics at its worse.  These people are supposed to be looking out for our interests....

"muddy boots" conservationRight, Kaela, it is pretty illiterate.  Pretty offensive too, to those environmentalists dancing with serpents in the rainforests, and shivering in parkas in the Arctic.
Let us face it, the Republicans have a message that is believed by way too many Americans: environmentalists are Cassandras, they stir up fear in order to make money, they do not know what they are talking about science-wise, and they are just getting in the way of the true and good Americans, who believe in Ronald Reagan's "Morning in America" vision.
Of course their message is a pack of lies.  But in American politics that does not matter.
