From the Program on International Policy Attitudes (PIPA):

An international poll finds widespread agreement that climate change is a pressing problem. This majority, however, divides over whether the problem of global warming is urgent enough to require immediate, costly measures or whether more modest efforts are sufficient.

Read the rest at their website. One data point: 39 percent of Americans think global warming is an important threat, 46 percent think it is a critical threat, only 17 percent think it is not important at all.

    Public Fed BSWorried? Who would be worried about a slow warming... I will just go swimming !

    Hey wait a minute, the levy is dry, and no whisky and rye !
    Now I am worried about no water.... mmmh that really is something to worry about.
    If the public knew the truth for the cause of Global Climate Change, they will be rising in their masses and forcing governments to get real.
    It will happen, not long to wait now.

    Excuse me, Mr. ScopesSo, since when has the "majority" of people been scientifically accurate?   Example, Americans do not believe that humans evolved, and the vast majority says that even if they evolved, God guided the process. Just 13 percent say that God was not involved. But most would not substitute the teaching of creationism for the teaching of evolution in public schools.

    To me Al Gore and the AGWers use the same techniques as Creationists to short-circuit science through media and down shouting.

    the global warming- everyone aware?"I am the one and don't care about what's after me" - that's what we are used to live with. We all thought we won't see it. So when the consequences are much severe will the statistics improve?
