Plastic is foreverThe oceans, rivers, roadsides and landfills are full of this stuff that will never break down.  Enough plastic.
(Yes, there are new formulations that are ecologically OK, but 40 years too late.)

plasticPlastic has become a menace on earth.  Huge floating islands of plastic are being found in the Pacific.  Whole beaches are found to consist of waste plastic.  What can we do?

One alternative is BioBags, corn based plastic bags made entirely from compostable materials with no petroleum.  They even break down in the ocean.

You have to be careful.  There are plastic bag companies out their like BioCor and other chinese based companies who claim to make biodegrdeable plastic bags but their bags are still about 40% petroleum based.  To be truly biodegrdeable plastic must meet ASTM Standard D6400-99 like the biobags we sell at Dirt Works.
Plastic is everywhere unfortunately and we have to reduce it's use, recycle more and replace it with green technology.  I still beleive we acan save the earth and ourselves along with it.  We can do big things like run for office and change our political system and we can do small things like using biobags whenever we need a plastic bag for waste, recycling and/or food storage.
