[UPDATE: It appears Huckabee was misquoted in an early draft of the transcript. That doesn't make a ton of sense either, but at least it's a little more clear what he's getting at. He wants to eliminate our use of oil entirely. Nuts, but not as nuts as eliminating energy consumption altogether!]

If the federal government is truly serious about doing something with the AIDS virus, we need to take steps that would isolate the carriers of this plague. (Emphasis mine)
I feel homosexuality is an aberrant, unnatural, and sinful lifestyle, and we now know it can pose a dangerous public health risk.
And let's not forget about that time when, as governor of Arkansas, he released a serial rapist from prison, despite pleas from victims' families, only to have the man go out and rape/murder again!
Sigh...Bigotry. Ignorance. Fear-mongering. Utter lack of compassion. Now THOSE are the qualities I'm looking for in a president.
