EPA unveils ‘most wanted’ list of environmental criminals 2

The U.S. EPA this week unveiled a new website listing its "most wanted" environmental criminals, people accused of everything from illegally disposing of hazardous waste to smuggling Freon and other ozone-depleting substances into the United States. Remarkably, no one employed by the Bush administration appears on it.

EPA or INS?It is a little odd how just about every person on this list looks foreign or has a foreign sounding name. Are there no John Smiths, Bob Jones or Brad Johnsons out there doing bad things to the environment, or is it just a crime if you aren't sure how to pronounce their name?

Maybe it's because...... all of those foreigners are on the lam in their respective countries (Italy, the Netherlands, China, Mexico were some of the ones I saw).  Do you think all of the domestic environmental criminals (the Smiths, Joneseses and Johnsons) have already been busted?  Just a theory...
