I hope no one has attempted to use pandas, or any other black-and-white animals, e.g. zebras, penguins and orcas, as icons of moral absolutism. The colors of the Dominicans, a Catholic order of friars, are black and white -- and of course one of the principal tasks given to them was to serve as inquisitors.
Chickens are our cousins! So are fish! So are other sentient animals! Let us learn to be kind.
