Membership of the new House committee on global warming

All but one of the R’s voted against it 2

Pelosi has announced the membership of her new global warming committee. Here are the Democrats, appointed by Pelosi:

Ed Markey of Massachusetts, Chairman
Earl Blumenauer of Oregon
Jay Inslee of Washington
John Larson of Connecticut
Hilda Solis of California
Stephanie Herseth of South Dakota
Emanuel Cleaver of Missouri
John Hall of New York
Jerry McNerney of California

Here are the Republicans, appointed by John Boehner:

James Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin, Ranking Member
John Shadegg of Arizona
Greg Walden of Oregon
John Sullivan of Oklahoma
Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee
Candice Miller of Michigan

Some 50 GOP members voted for the creation of the committee. Of those 50, only one -- Oregon's Greg Walden -- was permitted to join it. The other Republicans appointed to the committee voted against it. But I'm sure they'll be fully supportive of its work.

MillerOh, man, that is bad.  Candice Miller is another wholly-owned subsidiary of the Big 2.5.  You can expect big things from her.

Whoo hoo!Well, yes, I understand that the news is not all that good, and that the Repubs are trying to scuttle the whole thing, but really, what would you expect?
What I'm really excited about is that I voted for John Hall, and he got elected, and now he actually has a chance to do something about global warming.  I feel so "part of the process."
