McCaskill

Wins 3

CNN has called it: McCaskill wins in a squeaker. Meanwhile, Tester's still barely ahead with 72% reporting. Also meanwhile, Jim Webb has declared victory in Missouri, seizing the momentum a la Bush 2000. Bold.

my mother-in-lawShe lives in Springfield, MO, and is the Republican analogue of a yellow-dog Democrat.  I have no idea which animal the Republicans use for that noble function.  A purple armadillo?  Anyway, her son, my husband, has long wanted to rescind her voting rights.  And I know, when he wakes up and later phones her, he will enjoy a delicious gloat.
And by the way, David, you are up past your bed time.  Jim Webb declared victory in Virginia, where he was running for Senate, not in Missouri, where he was not.
Or is it that you get the states east of the Rockies a bit confused?  : )
Webb's declaration of victory probably twisted the pundits' underwear a bit.  "The counting will not be done for a few days!"  As you say, it was bold, and probably smart.  He had the higher number on his side, and that counts for a great deal, morally.

    So are other sensitive animals!

    Enough is enough!

    No more factory farms!

    See what happens

Very rarely do election night returns get over turned...
Which suggest both Talent and Webb will be eventually declared the winners.
The Democrats control the Senate!!  You heard it first here!

Just for the record......Jim Webb is the candidate in Virginia. You might want to change that for the archives.
