    Gore, Hightower observe public transit blackout.Anything except public transportation. That is the rule. You will not see high-profile figures breaking this carbon-auto lobby gag order. The tariff [fare] on our public investment in public transportation is restraint of trade. Its purpose is to discourage use. Transit fares benefit the carbon-auto industry and hurt all other business and citizens by promoting sprawl, congestion, and waste. We need free public transit.
