Since everybody else on the planet is commenting on the issue, I suppose I should as well:
No, high gas prices are not the result of oil-company price gouging or nefariousness. It's the market balancing supply and demand (i.e., you, dear consumer).
Yes, politicians -- mostly Democrats -- attempting to substitute oil-company bashing and demagoguery in the place of real energy proposals deserve only snorts of derision.
No, it would not be a good thing for gas to be cheaper. It's been artificially cheap in the U.S. for a long time, but it's inevitably going to rise. Get used to it.
That is all.

I can't claim to really understand commodity trading, but the gist is that people with too much money (and a compulsion to make more) are betting that supply problems in the near future will drive prices up and basically making it happen early by their speculation. Profiteering on oil's grim future ... now there's a job.
If a twigg falls in the forest but nobody is there to hear it, it's probably best because there is bound to be cussing.

Say you fill up your tank, then go inside to get a 32-ounce fountain soda, which here in metro-Kansas City will cost you "only" $.79. That thirst-quenching sweet stimulant costs you $3.16 a gallon (plus tax).
It gets worse: A 12-ounce can for $.50? $5.33 a gallon. A 20-ounce bottle for a dollar? $6.40 a gallon.
I pick on soda not because it's uniquely expensive but because most Americans drink it frequently. Do the math on that gourmet coffee drink sometime if you want a real eye-opener.
Gasoline has been far too cheap for our own good, and many Americans have wasted it by driving gas-guzzlers. Given that global oil production is likely at or near its peak, however, we may find out very soon what it's like to have genuinely expensive gasoline.

Hehehey, funny stuff Dave. So you figure OPEC and the exxon mob is provoding a free market?
I have shifted my point of view in favor of higher gas prices anyway. It is the only way to get alternatives going that work to reduce greenhouse gases. It makes the fuel industry look very bad to the average voter too. But we still ought to use high energy prices to bash corporatism.
Your repeating the bogus claim that high fuel prices are due to free market forces only aids corporatism.
The whole fuel industry, oil, ethanol, fuel from coal will all be even more expendsive than gasoline and diesel are now. It's going to hurt, but pain is the only motivator left for red state voters. They revel in destruction of the earth and invasion of other nations to feed their ego boosting vroom vroom fun.
And flip us enviros the bird while doing it? Eff 'em then, suffer you fools.
It will force the issue, giving electric powered transportation at the equivalent of 75 cents per gallon gas a real chance as gas, from corn, switchgrass, coal, or oil, hits 5 to 10 dollars a gallon.
The real cost of gas, figuring in oil wars, government subsidies, oil and gas lease giveaways to big energy companies and the like, is up to that area anyway by now. The cost ois gidden in the overwhelming national debt.
This gas allowed the corporate structure to repeal the law that says debt does not become intergenerational. Private debt still does not, and that irks the princes of the divine right of capital.
So they work politically behind the scenes to make public debt a way to hold the generations to come responsible for the debt built up now. While at the same time making corporate bankruptcy easier and easier.
The super rich slide on their debts, declare bankruptcy and move factories and jobs to low wage, no environmental control economies. While we the people pick up the bill in the form of standard of living destroying national debt. Sounds fair, right?

Not in my world. I'd charge what the market would bear (driven as it is by the geopolitical and geoeconomic issues).
As shortages drive prices low cost producers will rake it in, that's just the way it works. That's natural.
If you don't like it, buy a Prius or ride a bike(*).

Do oil companies and OPEC control world oil markets completely? No.
Are these markets manipulated by the big players with no regulation by any government? Yes.
These oil players are cutting their own throats with war profiteering. Sure they get record profits, but they are firmly placing the blame for all the economic damage and oil wars on their own shoulders.
The gas pump and the voting booth. They are coming together.

All this talk about market economics and comparative prices is aside the point.
People are starting to respond to the fear that gas prices are only going to continue going up in price.
People in this country hate feeling helpless, but they need some support in making difficult transitions. This is an ideal situation for well-educated people like us to offer these people alternatives: local and community support, mass transit, energy alternatives, incentives to use less, etc.
Exxon-Mobil has had a great run, headlined by its top management and primary shareholders. It's raked in many a $60/barrel profit. Now let's help people control their fears and fates by giving them better, clearer and more manageable options.
Let the market bear that.

The only way to REALLY gain control of the cost AND the availability of Oil is to impose a Gas Tax that HOLDS the price around $5 per gallon. This tax would accomplish these FIVE mutually supportive goals:
1) Capture the profits resulting from "supply and demand" forces which are driving the pump prices to where they are now and return them to the populace.
Currently, the Oil Companies collect this windfall. If we (the public) were to capture the excess instead, we could return it to ourselves in the form of: a) Tax Rebates to the poor & middle classes, to farmers, truckers, cabbies and the like. b) Pay for better quality roads (like those in Europe) so we don't have to suffer through "Orange Barrel Season" EVERY YEAR. c) Subsidize Public Transportation to the point where there are frequent stops at all the popular routes, thus bringing that service to the level of "convenient".
2) Provide PRICE STABILITY.
The price of Gas would be set by the government and the tax rate would be adjusted to keep it steady. This would give us the needed constancy to allow us to plan our budget without the worry of fluxuating cost. It also would tend to stabilize the cost of food and commodities and would minimize risks in business investments.
3) Cause real CONSERVATION to arise.
The high cost at the pump would have a psychological affect on our attitude toward fuel consumption. We would respond by altering our driving, buying and living habits. Also, those who lower their actual consumption (by driving less or driving efficient cars) would make out better because they would get the SAME TAX REBATE as the gas guzzlers. This "Free-Choice" driven conservation would then help resolve the looming energy crises by: a) creating STRONG demand for fuel-efficient cars & trucks, thus coaxing the Automobile companies to develop and produce them (there are a lot of efficient technologies now that are not implemented simply because the public doesn't want to pay extra for them). b) Cause society to make long-term efficient choices like living closer to their workplace and using bicycles and motorcycles more often. c) Spur innovations in efficient products and practices.
4) Increase the supply of Oil ...AND increase the length of time that Oil is available.
Simple market forces (expressed individually by each of us) would drive consumption drastically lower, making it easier for current oil production rates to keep up. The fundamental problem underlying this entire "crises" is that Oil is a finite resource. Every year many of the best and easiest Oil Wells dry up and we have to go farther and drill deeper for what is often lower quality crude. ... all while the world demand continues to rise. Now, in Canada, we are digging up "Tar Sands" and wasting huge volumes of Natural Gas to bake the oil out of it. The net gain is very low. We are about at the point where it is physically impossible to increase production as fast as we want to consume oil.
However, it is estimated that we could cut our consumption IN HALF in the U.S. by implementing currently available technologies. That would extend our supply by about double. In the long run, that would prevent what is by far the MOST SERIOUS PROBLEM with Oil: AVAILABILITY!!! We complain about having to pay $3 for a gallon of gas, but so far it has always been easy to find. If we continue on our present course, we are going to enter the ERA OF SCARCITY unprepared. Then we will come to appreciate the true value of Oil. By slowing consumption now, we would wade into this inevitable era more slowly, thus having more time to adjust. The way we are currently going however, we will slam into this era with few provisions. The social consequences would be unbearable for all but the rich elite. LIVING IN A WORLD WITHOUT PLENTIFUL OIL is the most serious problem facing mankind in this century. It leads to wide disparities in wealth; to extreme poverty and widespread famine ...these in turn lead to global social upset and the threat of anarchy.
5) Slow the rate of Global Warming.
The connection between fossil fuel consumption and the Global Warming resulting from the accumulation of exhaust (carbon dioxide) in the atmosphere is becoming apparent. We need to drastically slow the rate of "burning" in order to stop the rapid climate changes that are now showing up everywhere (Melting at the North & South Poles, larger storms and hurricanes, rising Ocean levels, Deserts forming where it used to be fertile, floods increasing in formally arid lands). Next time you are traveling, or just standing by a main road or intersection, look around and realize that this unending stream of traffic you see is occurring at most other roads and intersections ALL DAY, EVERY DAY, over most of the world! That is a lot of exhaust!!!
Of course, this Gas Tax plan requires that we elect COMPETENT and TRUSTWORTHY government officials. The current bunch is too concerned with holding their job to risk proposing this idea because it is perceived as very unpopular. That is why "we the people" will have to get our heads out of the sand and reach a level of understanding that leads us to clamor for a realistic solution, even if it is inconvenient.
Ultimately society is only as good as its constituents. Democracy, by itself is not a panacea. Good democracy requires concerned informed citizens who are willing to actively participate in their government (examine issues, vote intelligently and regularly, protest when things go astray) AND to make sacrifices for the long term good.
I suggest we pass this email around because it contains a real solution to the Energy Crisis. The others are just smoke screens that keep us busy while living in denial. If we are going to guide our democracy in the best direction, we need to have a deeper grasp of the situation.

This is not a free market. There is no competition. "Price is high because its summer and demand increases" is almost an embarassing a factoid as "Price is high because people need more gas to heat their homes in the Winter." The fact of the matter is that so long as big brother is not watching, these kids will play nice with one another. Thus, they are able to charge a price that far exceeds their costs (hence the record profits). In a truly free market, these guys would be undercutting each other to the point that excessive profits would be unattainable.
The best way to effectuate a lower price of gasoline (which many of you seem to disfavor given that lower price leads to increased demand) is to foster mistrust among the oil companies. Under the current White House, these execs are able to meet in secret (often with the VP present) and set price with impunity. They trust each other when there is no one to rat them out to. No one is going to put them in jail (or prosecute for treble damages as permitted by the Sherman Act).
We can foster mistrust by convincing one company that the others are cheating on the cartel. We should tell Exxon that BP is selling gas on the side at a cheaper rate. Then you tell BP that Exxon is selling on the side too. Before you know it, these guys will start to look at each other cross-eyed again. Until then, you can claim its a supply and demand issue till the cows come home, but those market forces only exist when the market is free. Here, its held captive by a group that Congress doesn't even have the backbone to swear in prior to testifying/lying.

I agree with your recent opinions posted on Gristmill regarding gasoline prices. Americans drive more than 2.5 trillion miles per year in automobiles, light trucks, and SUV's. Amazingly, this is equal to 14,000 roundtrips to the sun (Bonsor, Grabianowski). However, many Americans are naïve about the amount of gasoline we consume each year and the resources we have available to produce gasoline as many have expressed fierce anger about the recent increases and fluctuations in gasoline prices. Consumers have gone so far as to accuse the oil companies of price gouging. Rather than blaming oil companies for price gouging, Americans need to be accountable for their own consumption of gasoline and realize that the price will continue to fluctuate as a function of supply and demand. Americans must consider new energy resources instead of wasting time and energy by misdirecting blame.
First, you state "No, high gas prices are not the result of oil-company price gouging or nefariousness. It's the market balancing supply and demand." I agree with your argument that supply and demand are the main factors causing gas prices to increase and fluctuate. Many consumers blame oil companies, government, and other energy entities for the recent increases and fluctuations in gasoline prices because they do not fully understand how the price of gas and sales profit are determined. The price of a good is set by supply and demand. When supply falls while demand rises, prices rise quickly (Lanni). Some major factors that have affected the oil supply in recent months are natural disasters and warfare. Hurricane Katrina damaged oil refineries and reduced oil refining and drilling capabilities, which affected the supply of oil to consumers around the world. In addition, warfare in the oil-producing countries of Nigeria and Iraq slowed oil production in these regions. Some factors attributed to the demand of oil include substantial demands for gasoline in developing countries, consumers purchasing and driving larger operating vehicles, and an increased amount of recreational driving by consumers. The demand for gasoline has increased in recent years as countries such as China and India have been experiencing economic booms and a dramatic increase in energy needs (Reed 8). In addition, consumers have steadily increased their thirst for gasoline by engaging in consumption choices such as traveling more and driving SUV's and larger vehicles that require more operating fuel. Market conditions affect supply and demand and price is determined by supply and demand. When demand is greater than supply, prices increase.
There are several factors that determine the price of gasoline. The cost of crude oil contributes the largest portion to the cost of gasoline at 59 percent. Refining costs contribute about 10 percent and distributing and marketing costs contribute about 11 percent to the cost of gasoline. Federal and local taxes make up the remaining 20 percent. A portion of gasoline expense may also be attributed to a mark up at the service station. The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) determines the prices of crude oil and market conditions affect the cost associated with the other gasoline cost contributors (Bonsor, Grabianowski). Oil companies, government, and other energy entities do not arbitrarily select the prices they will charge. These prices are determined daily based upon daily stock trades on the international market as a result of supply and demand.
Secondly, you state, "Yes, politicians--mostly Democrats--attempting to substitute oil company bashing and demagoguery in the place of real energy proposals deserve only snorts of derision." I agree that politicians who attempt to pass blame on oil companies while in pursuit of political gain from their constituents should not be taken seriously when they know there is nothing that can be done to control the price of oil. With the recent sharp rises in gasoline prices, California's Senator Barbara Boxer demanded an investigation of the oil companies. This investigation, like other investigations on this issue, over the years, failed to turn up anything other than supply and demand (Krauthammer A19). According to Charles Krauthammer, "nothing can match the spectacle of politicians scrambling for coverage during a spike in gasoline prices." In April of 2006, the pander fest went all the way to the Oval Office. President Bush joined the braying congressional hordes by ordering the Energy and Justice department and the Federal Trade Commission to launch an investigation into possible gasoline price fixing (Krauthammer A19). Just like the previous price gouging investigations, this one did not turn up anything illegal. The investigation findings reported that the gasoline price hikes were attributed to the increased demand and decreased supply of gasoline (Krauthammer A19). "Big Oil may be an easy target for politicians, but every investigation into high gas prices turns up a single culprit--supply and demand" (Sowell).
Politicians should be spending more time proposing an effective energy plan to the American people, instead of investigating the energy industry and trying to intervene in the free market to control gas prices (Simon A14). Some alternatives a gasoline consumer can do to reduce the cost of gasoline and the overall consumption of oil is to start driving smaller, compactable cars that require less gasoline to run. A consumer could also purchase a hybrid car that mainly runs on a battery. Another option would be to purchase vehicles that use E85 fuel. This type of usable fuel is made from a blend of 85% ethanol and 15% unleaded gasoline (Wise Geek). Corn is the main ingredient in E85 fuel, which makes it renewable resource (Wise Geek). More and more auto industries are beginning to manufacture cars and trucks that can run on this type of fuel. Now, we need to come together and urge the energy industries to continue to explore new energy possibilities. Americans must learn to understand that supply and demand affect gas prices. Americans should demand their politicians to pursue other alternative energy sources rather than investigating oil company activities.
Finally, you state, "No, it would not be a good thing for gas to be cheaper. It's been artificially cheap in the U.S. for a long time, but it's inevitably going to rise. Get used to it." I agree with you. I do not think it would a good idea for gas to be cheaper. If there were a decrease in gasoline prices, we could have a huge energy shortage. "Free-market prices allow the marketplace to efficiently allocate scarce resources" (Lanni). When goods are intentionally sold at prices lower than the market will bear, shortages result (Lanni). Higher prices force conservation (Lanni). The cost of gasoline in the U.S. has been reasonably priced for a long time and we should be grateful for that. "As Americans contemplate the misery of a summer of $3-per-gallon gas, drivers in Britain and much of continental Europe looks on with resigned envy" (Sullivan A12). High taxes, which were created long ago, make gasoline in Europe, some of the world's most expensive. There, a family car is deemed more a luxury than a necessity. Many people in Europe rely extensively on public transportation networks to get around (Sullivan A12).
Although the recent gasoline price spikes can be explained by economic theory, it is not surprising that Americans have not been able to accept the reality that gas prices are a function of supply and demand and they are here to stay. Americans are likely emotional about the changing gas prices because we are a society highly dependent on gasoline for the majority of our energy needs. The price of gasoline not only affects the basic single-family household, but it also affects all small businesses, corporations and industries in the United States. High oil prices raise the cost of food, clothing, and energy for homes, cars and housing. For example, my family's economic and social situation has been greatly affected by recent gasoline price increases. I commute a total of 62 miles back and forth to work each day. Just two years ago, gasoline cost me an average of $200.00 a month. Now that price has more than doubled to $425.00 each month. The increasing gas prices have definitely had an impact on my family. We have had to sacrifice extra activities such as taking fewer family vacations and driving to our cabin less. Gas prices are also affecting small businesses. According to the survey conducted from consumer affairs, more than 85 percent of small business owners expect their revenue to decline this year, which is the result of the increasing gas prices (Benton). Business owners say it is getting harder and more challenging to be a small business owner (Benton). According to the survey, 31 percent of small business owners will have to lay off their employees, if their revenue continues to have negative effects (Benton). Rising gas prices are also affecting large corporations and entire industries. For instance, the auto industry has experienced a very negative impact from the increasing gasoline prices. One of the largest auto companies being affected is Ford Motor Company. Ford has been forced to shut down many of their manufacturing plants and is now laying off thousands of their employees. One of the main reasons for these business decisions is consumers in general, are less likely able to afford new vehicles nor are they in economic positions favoring driving larger vehicles. There is no doubt that this is a terrible time for many, however, situations such as these are consequences of the current supply and demand of gasoline.
The United States, alone, consumes 130 billion gallons of gasoline per year (Bonsor, Grabianowski). Instead of Americans spending energy complaining about the price of gasoline, they should invest their time searching for alternative energy and resources to use. Researchers estimate that there is only three trillion barrels of crude oil left in the world (Benton). Consumers have used one trillion barrels so far. There is still time for the consumers of the world to look into alternative energy sources before our oil supply is depleted. It is every person's responsibility to start conserving energy. There are far too many people in this world who drive big trucks and SUV's. As a society, we need to come together and become more aware of alternatives. Until there are abundant alternative energy sources to choose from, we must accept the new reality that high gasoline prices are here to stay due to supply and demand.

My Car Goes Farther!
If I had a product that you could put in your gas tank that would increase your mileage and save you money, would you be interested?
>
Welcome to RoboJoe Industries. This material is highly sensitive and may be disturbing. In order to avoid an accident, please do not ...speed read.
To my friends, neighbors, colleagues, fellow Americans, and all good people of the civilized world. The "future" of our "history" is, now at "your" disposal! It's time to fight back!
If you are anything like me, you are, most likely, becoming quite disgusted about "EXXON" bragging about their tremendous profit margin every night on the evening news. Well, maybe not, ...if you're a stockholder. LOL "Live At Five," I hate that show ...'cause ...I always forget what time it comes on. Anyway, ...where do you think they get all that money? Whenever the price of gas goes up, their stock options always seem to follow proportionately.
Have you noticed this?
Do you think this is a coincidence?
So, ...they just keep raising the price of gas, and, they get richer and richer. And, in the meantime, we just keep getting poorer and poorer. Right? Especially, with the wars going on in Iraq and Afghanistan now, ...and, ...still in the wake of all the hurricanes, ...and taxes on the rise, ...and the unemployment rate going up, ...and social security running out, ...and, ...oh, ...I could just keep going on ...and on. And, by the way, if you might recall, weren't they the ones that had that little oil spill that killed off a whole lot of mother nature and became one of the worst man made disasters in the 20th century? We certainly do appear to have "some" control of our environment. We've gotten ...pretty good ...at ...showing our ability to wipe out many species of animals and ... to screw up our ecology beyond any repair.
Excuse me.
When you add the green house affect, global warming, changes in weather patterns, melting icebergs, depleting rain-forests, fires, floods, homocides, endangered species, inflation, crashing housing markets, big industry out-sourcing, a floundering economy, rising health care costs, road rage, terrorism, rising crime rates, domestic abuse, prison over-crowding, adultery, suicide, political corruption, a sky-rocketing divorce rate, depression, and The Jerry Springer Show to this ...ridiculous, ...hideous, ...polluted equation, ...make no mistake about it, ...our future does not look very appealing to our youth right now. You know, ...our children! Remember them? Whew! It's no wonder our kids have a tendancy to wander a little "off the path" these days. Have you been noticing ...the new fashion trends lately? Need I say more? LOL Well, ...I guess I'd rather be laughing than crying. Do you think this may even be starting to resemble ...all the "worst" parts ...of ...the Bible? You tell me.
But seriously folks, at this point, ...I'm pretty sure that we're all quite confident, ...that ...the worst ...is yet ...to come.
What do you think ...things are going to be like ...just three years from now if "this" keeps up?
What about ...when we can't grow food anymore?
It's time to fight back! And, call me a pessimist, but, sometimes ...I think ...it may already be too late.
You know, ...some people will actually drive up to 40 miles out of their way to shop at Walmart thinking that they might save a few bucks on sale items. They burn twice as much as what they save just in the gas that it takes to get there. Why? These are usually the same people who drive around looking for the cheapest gas they can find and impatiently wait in long lines at the pumps for the prospect of saving a few measly pennies per gallon because they are just so "offended" about the cost of gas. LOL ..."Too funny!" ...Lucy, ...you got some ...'splaining to do!
Ever see the movie "Mad Max"? How about "Soylent Green"? Get the picture? These were the predictions folks! Do you see any similarities in them with what we are facing today? Now, ...I'm not trying to play on your guilt or anything like that. I don't have to. You already damn well know ...you are just as guilty as I am! LOL
I mean, really! We're just ...talkin' here ...right?
Well, how would you like some "real" relief? Yeah? Are you ready?
Ya think?
Ok then! Here it comes. LOL
What if I told you that "now" there is a way you can increase your gas mileage at a cost of less than what you might be saving by penny pinching at the pump? "For real!" Would you be interested? I sorta' thought so. 'Cause I was! I do a lot of driving. And hey, what do you know, I shop at Walmart too! LOL Well, once in a while anyway. Actually, ...rarely ever. I hate shopping! I find it very dis-heartening to see the pain in the eyes of people who see what they want but cannot afford to buy it! The squeeze is on! Do you feel it?
Anyway, ...I guess that's why I'm talkin' to you. Folks this product is a hard sell just because nobody wants to believe it ...because it hasn't been taken over by big oil yet. In fact, ...this company just "won" a very major lawsuit provoked by big oil in Texas! If it had lost this lawsuit you would not be reading this article right now!
Do you understand this? Pssst! Mister! You! In the back! With the Tommy gun! Yes! I'm talking to "you"! Who ya gonna' delete today? LOL Well, ...I sure hope it's not me!
Ok, well, ...I guess this is the part where ....I'm supposed to .....introduce myself. (grin)
Hello, my name is Joseph J. Green. I am the owner of a company called RoboJoe Industries Major Appliance Repair Service.
How's that? (grin)
I am also a licensed distributor of Bio Petro Improver. Bio Petro Improver is a product that you drop into your fuel tank. It has been being used all over the world since 1989 in order to "off-set" the price of gas. The reason why you haven't heard of it yet is because you haven't needed it yet. Until now!
Yes! That's right!
The price of gas is one of the hottest issues in the USA now and Bio Petro Improver has fought the good fight (in a court of law) to make this product available to you!
And, ...here it is! This product is made up of two enzymes and a catalyst. It is guaranteed to be safe for any vehicle and is registered by the EPA. ISO 9000 lab test results, EPA emmissions test results, and a wide array of university testing facilities have now officially "proven" and documented that this product significantly increases gas mileage and lowers emissions! And, in fact, it has now been "proven" to be the "only" product that really "does" work by a facility called Wallace Laboratories! Ever heard of them? "Wallace Labs" folks! Well, ...okay then. LOL
Do you think that the price of gas will be coming down anytime soon? Now think!
And, even if someday, ...somehow, ...by some miracle, ...we become redeemed by not having to be ...milked ...at the pumps, don't you think that just the "environmental impact" alone of using this product makes it a worthy cause? Does anyone "really" care about "saving our planet"? Well, ...hell yes! I know I do. Don't "you"? I'm a grandpa now. I ""have"" to!
You can see certified documents on Bio Petro Improver along with the entire Bio Petro Improver company portfolio by clicking on the big "BLUE" link below. I must encourage you to get the facts! This is truly a significant movement in helping to save our environment and our money. In all honesty, I would never stake the reputation of my appliance repair company on this by connecting the names if I hadn't "actually" seen the results for myself.
If you're smart enough to be playin' with a computer, then, you're smart enough to be able to get the facts! Don't just take "my" word for it! See for yourself!! You don't have to be an expert in aero-space-dynamics or astro-physics to just ...scroll right on down there to the bottom of the page and click on that great big "BLUE" link down there!
Okay! So! How does it work? Well, ...it's called "enzyme technology"! Bio Petro Improver works in gasoline, diesel and fuel oil. It cleans the internal components of your motor and then it breaks down the combustible molocules of the fuel into smaller particles which, in turn, lowers the flash point and causes it to burn clean. It stretches the yeald of combustion of your fuel by "atomizing" the fuel more efficiently. Your motor runs cooler, cleaner, and burns your fuel more "completely". Bio Petro Improver comes in pills or powder. And, ....it smells great! Kind of like .....money! LOL
I have now experienced a "tremendous increase" in mileage, in a 1999 Buick Century with over 120,000 miles on it, by using this product, and, my motor runs quieter and smoother than it ever did without it, ...even when it was new! I've actually been running repair service out of "this" car for over 5 years now. Well, ...it's a good car. What can I say? LOL Anyway, I know what my car did "before" and "after" using this stuff! That's right! I'm telling you "it really freakin' works!" I have been testing this product for over 2 years in the same vehicle. It still runs beautifully and I've never had any problems with it. This stuff is cheap! It's easy to use! And, I save a lot of money on gas! Way more than enough to make it worth using! Now you can to!
Look! Why blow money out the tailpipe when you can burn it instead? Right? Save in the tank! Put your money in the bank! LOL How cheezy is that? LOL Well?
It's time to fight back!
People! This is a no brainer! LOL
And, ...by the way, ...Bio Petro Improver also offers a "top class" network marketing business opportunity. We are looking for more distributors. The amount of sales volume of this product is increasing at a "riveting" pace. I can tell you that, for me, and many others who are close to me, this company has completely changed our lives! It crushed every profit record margin ever set by any network marketing company in the entire world within the first 90 days of arriving here! You "don't" have to write a huge article ...like this one in order to make money with this company. All you need is a few friends and neighbors who might like to save money on their gasoline. When gas hits $5.00 per gallon, ...and it will, make no mistake about it, ...you are going to wish you were using this stuff! And, by then, ...you are going to be hearing about it by people who already have! Like me! LOL
"This campaign is the most valiant effort that I have ever personaly made toward any environmental cause! After 2 years of personally using BPI, I simply must recommend trying it for yourself."
It's time to fight back!
Folks, this "truly" is an emergency! Are we just going to sit back and watch the oil industry devastate the legacy of our children and our childrens' children or are we going to do something about this? "If we don't save ourselves from ourselves, ...someone else will." Do we really want ...that?
Think about it!
Now think some more!!
You all know what's going on here. Let's come together as one family and fight this thing. This is about the salvation of our future as "human beings" and as "Americans"!
This is not a fad or a gimmic! It's not just a passing phase! This is our "reality"! It's the wave of the future!
Do you want to be part of the wave of the future or do you want to just wave goodby to it?
You see?
This is "your" chance to fight back!
Now you can save on gas!
Save some money!
Save some dignity!
And, most importantly, ...you can help save our planet!
You are likely going to be seeing many articles and editorials on this subject in days and weeks to come. In fact, soon, you will likely be hearing about this by your very own neighbors. Keep in mind, in this case, it's all just a matter of opinion until you get all the facts. You don't know what you don't know until you "find out"! The best way to find out is to buy a bottle and check it out for yourself. There is a "world" of information available to you right here. Just click on the big "BLUE" link below.
There are conditioners. (bad) And there are additives. (good)
Bio Performance is a fuel "additive" and does not void "any" warrantees!
And, guess what folks! ....Yup! ....Exactly! ...It really freakin' works! That's right! Very good!! You got it!!! Pretty cool .....huh.
This product can be used in any oil based fuel application! Fuel oil furnaces, generators, lawn mowers, chainsaws, cars, trucks, 18 wheelers, tractors, combines, atvs, motorcycles, snowmobiles, recreational vehicles, water craft, airplanes, jets, missiles, rockets, spacecraft, flying saucers, and any other type of internal combustion application in which an oil based fuel is used except e-85! LOL Ok?
Now, ...think ...just as hard as you can!!!!
I say this with all due politeness and respect. If you are actually even remotely interested in learning the FACTS about any of this, please ..... CLICK on the big "BLUE" link below!
I thank you for taking the time to read "my" testimonial!
Buy a bottle and try it. Follow the instructions carefully. You will save on gas! If you like it, need a job, and want to become a distributor, contact me and I'll put you in the business. It's that simple!
This is the "BLUE" link that I told you about. "Please click here to get the facts!" Save on gas! This may be your last chance to help us "all"! Now! Go tell everybody before they tell you!

>
LOL

Another option would be to purchase vehicles that use E85 fuel. This type of usable fuel is made from a blend of 85% ethanol and 15% unleaded gasoline. Corn is the main ingredient in E85 fuel, which makes it renewable resource. More and more auto industries are beginning to manufacture cars and trucks that can run on this type of fuel.
I gather Duff is a new reader here, else he or she would have been familiar with the thousands of words that have been written on this topic.
The salient points are: around three-quarters of the flex-fuel vehicles (vehicles that can run on E85 fuel) manufactured in the USA are gas hogs: SUVs or large pick-up trucks with 4.5 litre or larger engines. Even the National Ethanol Vehicle Association -- a promoter of FFVs and E85 -- admits as such, gleefully selling stickers that read "Ethanol Guzzler" that FFV owners can affix to their gargantuan bumpers. Most owners of FFVs do not fill up with E85 in any case.
Second, no, just because "corn is the main ingredient in E85 fuel", that does not "make it [a] renewable resource." The production of corn requires significant inputs of non-renewable resources (petroleum diesel for the tractors that plant it and harvest it, and natural gas for the nitrogenous fertilizers used to encourage its growth), and even more fossil energy -- at some plants coal -- to process the corn into ethanol. The ethanol then has to be transported and distributed, generally by rail and truck, as it is too corrosive to transport by pipeline.
These are only my personal opinions.

Our house of representatives are representing the oil companies and big business, at the expense of the multitude of its constituents; the middle and working classes, veteran's pensioner's, trucker's and student's etc. The apathy of our politician's has become unprecedented.
We continue to hear useless rhetoric from our political campaigning candidates.
We have totally lost our ability to influence the choice of our elected official's. Delegate's super-delegate's vote base on their own agenda, regardless of the way their constituents want. Our supreme court is now unashamedly ruled by their political allegiance.
We as Americans citizens can reclaim our representation by choosing to boycott the giant of oil companies. Starting appropriately on Independence day we can start boycotting Exxon/mobile for the entire month of July. We do not have to sacrifice buying gas just avoid this company. We need to act as a unified body of Americans that are fed up with having our rights consistently being usurped. We can use our buying power collectively as millions of David's defeating this Goliath. Start by telling all those who drive or are sympathetic to this cause to pass this message by word of mouth, blogging, E-mail the news media, etc. We can't really expect much from our politicians but this is a very important political year, maybe by some miracle they may actually act like our representatives and support this effort by the people. Together we can form an army of consumers and get oil prices to a reasonable level. This may also force our government to provide financing for alternative energy resources.
The oil companies have billions to pay lobbyist to vigorously encourage our politicians to vote programs that will benefit oil companies, not us. Lets that back our right as Americans and not depend on our government.
