FOX News and TrollCat agree: Global warming is BUNK! 14

FOX News evidently agrees with Global Warming Skeptic Trollcat (see above):

Thousands of emails from the University of East Anglia Climatic Research Unit were hacked recently and dumped on a Russian web server. Fox News and right-wing bloggers believe the illegally obtained emails prove that “global warming is a MYTH.”

Oops, that’s Global Warming Skeptic TrollCat. Here’s the take from FOX News.com (actual screenshot):

FOXNews: Do E-Mails Reveal Scientist Claims On Climate Change are… BUNK?

Here’s an unscientific sampling of the reasoned analysis from prominent right-wing bloggers:

  • “If you own any shares in alternative energy companies I should start dumping them NOW,” says the Telegraph’s James Delingpole.
  • Hot Air’s Ed Morrissey claims the emails discuss “repetitive, false data of higher temperatures.”
  • The National Review’s Chris Horner salivates, “The blue-dress moment may have arrived.”
  • “The crimes revealed in the e-mails promise to be “the global warming scandal of the century,” blares Michelle Malkin.
  • The Australia Herald-Sun’s Andrew Bolt claims the emails are “proof of a conspiracy which is one of the largest, most extraordinary and most disgraceful in moderrn [sic] science.”

Evidently due to this email conspiracy, Arctic sea ice is at historically low levels, Australia is on fire, the northern United Kingdom is underwater, and the world’s glaciers are disappearing. Oh yeah, and it’s the hottest decade in history.

America it is time to grow up! Get your heads out of the sand! For your sake and for America’s sake its time to go down that rabbit hole.
The environment debate is the biggest ruse created by a few elite intellectuals to serve even fewer ruling elites. First of all the climate is always changing, that is the universe's plan. It cools, it warms, the icecap expands, it contracts and melts, the trade winds shift up, shift down. The impact of man is negligible as recently confirmed by the CBO figures of the cap and trade bill recently discussed. All that money raised would make no impact whatsoever on reducing carbon. The monies would serve only the elites running the charade. Let’s keep going….
I say WAKE UP because you must learn who is behind the curtain and why they stand hidden. There are many complicated philosophies and agendas being played out from the shadows. Let’s start with a few...
Can anyone say "Hegelian Dialectic: Problem, Reaction, Solution"? It was created in the 1830's by Georg W.F. Hegel and was the fundamental philosophy used by one Karl Marx to create his idea of nirvana. Lenin used Marx’s idealism to control and manipulate the peasant class to throw off their oppression at the hands of ruling oligarchy. This technique of creating the problem, the reaction, and then the solution was the main instrument behind the societal purging of land owning, educated middle classes. Is success realized many times throughout the 20th century, not only by the Leninist communists in Russia but also during the People’s Revolution which put Mao into power in China, the Nazis in Germany as well as being used by tyrant Pol Pot in Cambodia. This past century alone some 200 million humans were “culled” by elitist sanctioned and backed governments. DO THE RESEARCH – WAKE UP!
Through the funding of the bankers of America and New York, history has shown the Trotskyites left Manhattan to bring down the tyranny of czarist Russian to replace it with a truly tyrannical system of perceived communism (modern communitarianism). The ruling czar was replaced with the ruling elite intellectuals of communist inner circle, the aristocrats were exchanged for the bourgeoisie, who owned the productive means, and the peasants, who with no means of providing for themselves, became the proletariat or members of the industrial working class who lacked their own means of production and were forced to sell their labor to live. The wealth was redistributed from the established ruling families loyal to the czar to the new all powerful state with limitless monopolies flowing forth like milk and honey. This state entity with all of its imprisoning police powers became “God” where all living creatures forced to honor its new religion. It became the highest authority. Humanity, society and wealth were subjugated to the state. Flash! Another mandatory wake up moment America--- the environmental movement is now revealing their next intention, elevating environmentalism to the highest of high – the new religion of the globe, the ancient true GOD of the earth! - Even Al Gore is spewing this in his upcoming sequel.
Remember, to the financial lenders tyrannical control of society is always the most profitable. Remember, to the production owners tyrannical control and unfettered monopolistic practices are always the most profitable. Remember, to the elite intellectual bureaucrat tyrannical societal control always provides the most addictive corruption of absolute power.

The black line that you claim "disproves IPCC projections" in the graph you linked is a smooth curve up to 2005 but then it starts just connecting the data points from 2005 thru 2009.

The discontinuity is obvious and reveals either a dismal lack of competence in statistics, or a childish attempt at disinformation.

What matters is the temperatures after 2005 are below the orange "commitment at 2000 level" curve. Don’t compare the observation with itself. Compare the observation with the projections after 2005!

What a “scientific” blunder or ________!

Who let the blathering trolls out of their cages? There is no denying that climate change is warming over the decades, and that mankind has heavily influenced that outcome. Nobody can really say if it is 20 percent, or 50 percent, or what but there's no giant conspiracy here.

The fact that global warming recently took a hiatus for a few years, as the poles warmed and colder air was pushed south, is a true phenomena. However, that does not negate the thesis regarding average global warming. Many use today's weather to try to dispute a climatological phenomena that is measured in 30 year increments or longer.

Or, they can resort to inventing their own data.

But to a large extent, and I've said this before, the scientists and journalists who support climate change (and a need to fight it with large cuts in CO2) have an most bizarre ability to shoot themselves in the foot. Repeatedly. Boom! Right now, the US population that supports global warming actions is at an all-time low, as a result.

Climate deniers are truly ecstatic about this turn of events. Backed by large energy corporations with millions of dollars, their investment seems to be paying off. That's a shame, since much of the fluff they write is, well, fluff. You should read some of the blogs and emails emanating from the denialist camp - black helicopters and new world order and conspiracies and everything. Some of those threats include AR automatic machine guns, and I am dead serious here.

Meanwhile, the rest of the world, particularly the Europeans, are wondering if the US "drank the Kool-Aid" and is no longer a player in the game. It is all rather embarrassing to our President.

But that's the idea I guess. Too bad the deniers are such fools about the whole thing.

The screaming beckscrement!! Ahhhh! Obamunism is taking over! Hehehey.

I think in the end the louder they scream, the more they will be marginalized. The argument of course will be that the socialist Obama will now tax everyone through an energy tax disguised as cap and trade, based on the global warming hoax, then hand it all out to his fellow travelors. And acorn will turn us into a communist dictatorship.

Only Rupert's minions can save us. Ahhh!

This should help delay any energy legislation though. Any shift of subsidies from fossil and nuclear to renewables is going to be blocked by the BS. Just as in healthcare "reform". No public option until 2013 or 14? Requirement to buy insurance from present unregulated megaopolist insurance corps.

This is not going well at all so far. Rove is smiling.

I have to admit that in spite of all your sarcasm, Amazing, as long as we have boobs like Glen Beck, Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, and Dick "The Dick" Cheney running the show, we are safe from any threats to advancing climate change regulations and statutes. Any arguments, such as that average global warming seems to have stalled for the last few years, or that some contrarian emails were hacked, does not prove or disprove a darn thing.

If I were a leader in the game, I would really promote that concept that if you wanted to save money and help balance the budget, you'd improve electrical efficiency, reduce the reliance on imported crude oil, and expand renewables where possible. People like hard, cold cash.

Then all the right wingnuts can go buy gold as an investment, from the money they saved, just like Glen Beck says to do ... he has made some gold traders very rich, even though Glen can't get any other advertising revenue!

The best thing this bunch of paranoid global warming deniers can do is jump o a plane ( after paying for carbon offsetting of course) and go and visit some of the places currently being affected by global warming.

    http://www.greenexplorer.ovi.com/getinspired/australasia/australia/climate-change-deniers-holida/

I'd like to think that if they saw it with their own eyes they might stop babbling on about conspiracy theories. But maybe that's just wishful thinking.

The part that hurts me most is that some - not all - of the better climate scientists were exposed as being teenager activists instead of professionals. That hurts wicked bad. We're all people, folks, but the extreme right capitalized on this big-time, and frankly, "we messed up wicked bad."

Same for journalists who claim to be neutral but are in fact activists themselves.

A bunch of street cred just went down the toilet. It makes me rather sad.

There is good evidence climate change is occurring rapidly. Here is the most convincing evidence I have found so far. The thinning of old ice in the arctic ocean at unpresidented speed and no othre known driver for this other than CO2. Click here and wait for the video to come up and then look at the movement of ice after about 2 minutes: http://www.channel4.com/news/articles/science_technology/ice+free+arctic+in+ten+years/3388232
Then there is all the work by Conrad Steffan who discovered that Greenland Ice is beginning to float on beds of water trapped between the ice and land, i.e. floating the Greenland Ice, resulting in an accelerating breakup of the Greenland Ice: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=conrad+steffan+greenland&aq=f&oq;=&aqi;=
And finally the GRACE satellite measurements: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=grace+greenland+ice+accelerate&aq=f&oq;=&aqi;=
and here is the graph of the latest Grace research plus other measurenents showing that the Greenland Ice melting is nearly a constant 8% per year increase since 1977: http://egpreston.com/Gtpy2.jpg
and if the acceleration remains constant, which it should for a constantly increasing temperature in the arctic, then all of Greenland's ice will be gone by 2100, which means that the ocean rise will not be 3 ft by 2100, but more than 20 ft by 2100. Considering that the Earth was on a long term cooling trend until the mid 1800's, only human activity can account for the rapid change based on a review of all natural events back thousands and even millions of years ago. I would say the evidence is overwhelming that humans are increasing the temperature of the planet. 47,000 APS scientists agree humans are causing climate change whereas only 160 say the jury is still out about that. Therefore the group in this thread is a small minority. The majority now believe that the human influence is real.
