Flex and Balances

Vast majority of feds’ flex-fuel cars still run on straight gasoline 2

The federal government has poured billions of dollars into building up a fleet of 112,000 flex-fuel vehicles capable of running on an ethanol blend -- but the attempt to move away from fossil fuels has so far largely failed, as 92 percent of the vehicles still run on straight gasoline.

flex-fuelIts amazing the feds buy these cars and put them in parts of the country where there is no ethanol.  They are all over California.  Why are we spending extra for them?  You see them at government auctions all the time, where they sell them with only 30K miles on them.  Another waste!  But, I can't complain that's where I bought my cng cars with only 19K on them and paid a ridiculously low price.  You see very few cng and a ton of the ethanol cars now.

What really gets me is the car companies get credit for making them even though they never use ethanol!

Maybe Obama will change this.  Wait, he's from an ethanol state.

flex-fuelWhat really gets ME is that the car companies get credit for making them even though ethanol is a LOSER when flex-fuels are concerned!
