   And the story is?Why is it news that a Presidential candidate is meeting with business and industry leaders? Isn't this the normal course? Or should Obama shun all corporate involvement and live in a fantasy world where the will of the average person actually means something and our government isn't as driven by the rich as is our economy?    Obama is a politiciannot a saint. He is heavily influenced by coal, Midwest auto parts manufacturing, and ethanol interests. Once we get him in office we really need to start hammering on him.
   He knows what is wrong with corn ethanol by now. He continues pandering to the ethanol lobby only because his polls are showing that this won't cost him votes ...yet. That is why we have to continue to educate the public. Only when the polls show a downturn for ethanol support will he have a moral epiphany and "do the right thing."

   Freezing out the big boys...I'd like a President who served all of the American people rather than 49% (dwindling to ~20%).
   Big business is a part of our country.  Corn farmers are part of our country.  Big oil is part of our country.
   There's a difference between listening to the concerns of large entities and being under their control.
   If we want equal (or better than equal ;o) access to Obama's ear then we need to continue doing what we've done so far.  Contribute to his campaign, show up at his rallies, and when the time comes vote for him.
   If we force Obama to take large amounts of corporate money in order to carry out his campaign then our loss of access is our own fault.

   How toAvoid the disappointment.
   That's right Bob, small grassroots donations are the key.  A short note with a monthly 10 bucks might get some attention, if spread across millions of eco-minded contributors.

   Jesus Bob, this makes senseThat's why I can see most of the environmentalists on this page ignoring it. they are against anything and everything....... full of negativism.
