Time Flies When You're Procrastinating

EPA just doesn’t have time to make CO2 decision, says official 3

Remember how the U.S. EPA was instructed by the U.S. Supreme Court to decide whether carbon dioxide should be regulated as a pollutant? And how that was more than a year ago? A senior EPA official said in a speech this week that "given the time frame available to the agency, it's not realistic" to expect that the EPA will make that decision before the Bush administration ends. Such a bummer that time's running out, because you know they really wanted to.

Maybe not a bummer......imagine what kinda regulations they would've made under Johnson's (Bush's little lap dog) administratiion.
Time is of the essence, but better to wait a few months and get some real work done rather than have some piecemeal rules be the foundation of the regulations.

Who does have the time?I'm surprised they had the time to craft that statement. Bunch of lame delayers. Or "delaymers"

Systemic ProblemThis administration's ignoring of the courts and Congress shows where power in a society really lies, and it's certainly not with the people.  As Salvadore Allende (the Chilean leader assassinated by the CIA, mainly for nationalizing Chilean oil companies) learned once he was elected, even elected officials can't get their hands on real power if they want to do something that is opposed by the ruling class.  It is STATE power that rules, and those who own the planet control that power through the militaries and police forces.
There are only two solutions I can think of.  The first and most preferable would be a major human evolution to where people are no longer concerned with money and power.  The other would be at least a realization  by the large majority, including those in the militaries and police forces that is not the ruling class that the rich are screwing everyone else and the planet, so that the ruling class loses its state control.
