"Defending infanticide ..."
(4:50 into video) Newt will profit handsomely from book sales thanks to this appearance but I think it came at a price for the Republican party.
Infanticide: The killing of an infant.
Infant: A child in the earliest period of life, especially before he or she can walk.
Abortion: The premature exit of the products of conception (the fetus, fetal membranes, and placenta) from the uterus.
Note that infanticide is not a synonym of abortion.
Cases of infanticide declined with the advent of Roe v Wade. Forcing the 40 million or so abortions worldwide to produce infants would result in the deaths of uncounted millions of infants from infanticide.
Twisting and pounding a square word into a round hole is a form of deception. Many religionists are masters of deception. Witness televangelists strutting and crying on stage between calls for donations.
There is no such thing as an abortion doctor. It is medical procedure that millions of doctors have been trained to do along with millions of other procedures.
In the end, it all comes down to biodiversity. Poison Darts--Protecting the biodiversity of our world

Newt...
Every time he surfaces we should remind ourselves that this is the person who brought us a Congress full o individuals like Tom Delay, Duke Cunningham, and Bob Ney.
Newt led the way to George W. Bush.
And we want to continue to listen to him why?

"Why listen to him?"
Good question, Bob Wallace. Newt has genuine scientific curiosity, e.g. in paleontology, which makes me wonder if he is genuinely a creationist. But this "Drill Now" book makes me doubt that, after all.
Notice that Newt received a very courteous applause, before and after he spoke, from presumably a hostile audience.
If, say, Al Gore had been a guest on an analogous right-leaning show, e.g. a Fox show, or something hosted by a Rush Limbaugh clone, would the audience have been so gracious? Would they not have feared the disapproval of their pastors, had they clapped?

got reminded of eric cartman
@jabailo
wh2y ?
There was an episode of south park where eric cartman gets HIV. Then for everything he says, he adds, "I am not just sure. I am HIV positive".
Beating cartman is quite hard, but you are right up there, my friend.
Let's think in terms of eco-dollars.

Wellllll, You Remind Me of That Episode Where...
...like, they play guitar hero and make lots of points but then stop being friends and then they make up or something.
Anyway, enough of infantile adult argumentation, where 38 year olds quote South Park.

Forget H2
Its just BS to please the technophile dreamer and just BS to attract funding for high tech tinkering corporations. A placebo research program.

Demand reduction
Drilling won't save our economy. Newt is asleep ar the wheel again, gas guzzling us all towards economic disaster.
And as gas goes to 10 bucks per gallon, demand reduction will in fact occur. But that will absolutely kill our economy.
Why not pursue demand reduction now? And save our economy by delaying that ramp up to 10 dollar gas. It's simple really.
The GOP, "drill, drill, drill, now, baby, drill" plan is just a slogan. A slogan that will kill our economy by delaying real demand reduction.
The time to act is now to head off energy price induced stagflation, inflation and stagnation at the same time. Obama has proposed a real energy plan that will do this, featuring a 4% increase in mileage standards per year, for one thing.
And a whole other list of policies to reduce oil demand. These are the only policies that can get us off of our addiction to ever more scarce, ever more expensive supplies of oil, imported mainly from oil kleptocracies opposed to nearly every principle our nation has been built on.
