Dave posted earlier about the new green cleaning line from Clorox and his combined reaction of happy feelings and "how will greens spin this into suckage." But wait, it gets better: Wal-Mart is investing big time in the Clorox product line.
Check this quote from a Wal-Mart press release: "Wal-Mart's support of Green Works has significantly influenced the scale of our launch," said Ed Huber, vice president of sales, Wal-Mart team at Clorox. "Along with their size and scale, their commitment to sustainability is enabling us to take natural cleaning to the mainstream at a global level."
Is there anybody out there who still harbors straightforward hate for Wal-Mart in their heart? It must be getting tougher.

Well, at least...
...it's somethin'. Wal-Mart doesn't carry much in the way of eco-friendly lines. I hardly go there anymore, they don't even carry the Seventh Generation products. Maybe this'll be a nice start.

I have and always will
Try working for Walmart. Especially not once but twice. That will start your hatred. Then learn about how they treat their employees and how wasteful the company is. There is so much wasted material that goes into shipping and receiving in each of those stores. I hate Walmart now and forever. At least until they change a lot of things. I could write a book about what I hate about Walmart. Really, ask my wife if I ever complained about working there. :-)

The greenest product is none at all.
99% of cleaning products are completely unnecessary for our day to day lives. Clean your toilet with water and a brush and flush twice. It will probably be far cleaner and safer than a public telephone handset or any surface in a hospital.

It should also be noted...
...that amongst the products natural ingredients, it includes coconut oil and ethanol. The company puts emphasis on it bein' natural, but there's not much emphasis on sustainability, or where these ingredients came from * cough * rainforset plantation * cough *.
Still, compared to much of the artificial stuff, it's probably much better in terms of disposal and waste.
Though...I wonder how much energy it took to harvest the ethanol and coconut oil as opposed to the energy used to make more "traditional" cleaning products?

Question
Now that Clorox has this natural product line, are they going to stop selling their traditional products that contain synthetic chemicals? Seventh Generation and many other companies have sold natural cleaning products for years. I agree that Clorox should be praised if they are eliminating harmful chemicals from their cleaning products, but I don't see what the buzz is if they are simply rolling out a new product line while still manufacturing all the same old stuff.

Good question...
...they didn't say anything 'bout halting the sales of their other product lines, so my guess would be that at the current time, they are not replacing 'em.
However, if enough people stopped buying the current line and switched over to the new "natural" line, it would probably be a good incentive for production of the traditional product line to stop.

While the product is effective on keeping incests and pests from the environment of it's use as well. No product on the market can compare to this.
