Hear You Loud and Nuclear

Hillary Clinton brings an environmental issue to the fore in Nevada 9

Hillary Clinton is taking pains to make sure all Nevadans know her views on -- gasp! -- an environmental issue: She would stop plans to store nuclear waste at the state's Yucca Mountain repository. "This is not just, 'We're in Nevada, so we'll talk about an issue Nevadans care about,'" Clinton assured voters. "This is an American issue." Yucca Mountain was discussed in Nevada's recent Democratic debate; Clinton is running a radio ad in the state telling listeners that Barack Obama, who has also pledged to close Yucca Mountain, is less committed to closing the site than she is. In response, long-time anti-Yucca activist and Obama supporter Bob Fulkerson tells reporters that it is "completely ludicrous and disingenuous to suggest that Barack Obama has somehow been soft on Yucca Mountain."

Just give it up!So Mrs. C and Mr. O,

As supporters of nuclear power reactors, if you're not going to bury the waste in Nevada, where are you going to put it?

Do the research and give it up.  The only way for forward is renewable wind, water, and hydro energy, while R&Ding save reverse magnetic and electromagnetic power.

Out of idle curiosity...I retried John's bias test without using "Hillary Clinton," (76) "Barack Obama" (74) "John Edwards" (75) and "George Bush" (97). Obviously George Bush is much beloved of Gristmill blog.

If You Oppose Nukes ...you should oppose any solution that involves moving nuclear waste.  Let the nuclear power plants choke on this stuff until it forces them to close.  I got this idea from theoretical physicist Michio Kaku and I totally agree.

Yes, this is bizarreI have to ask -- do you people who write and post news items here actually bother to read Grist?  How do you have a post talking about Hillary and Obama and ignoring Edwards the same week that Roberts had an excellent post that included the entire transcript of the relevant section of the NV debate.

but it's notthe science that they used to try to prove that it was safe turned out to be wrong, and some of it fraudulent.
seriously, john edwards....there's a reason friends of the earth endorsed him...
if i hear obama flip flop one more time about nuclear power i'm gonna flip out.  he gets $200,000 from excelon corp, you know, the folks who own three mile island?
    never trust a clinton.
hey, maybe if i just type edwards a bunch of times it'll improve the number of times he gets mentioned in articles...edwards edwards edwards edwards....
