EPA says ignore CO2 when issuing permits for coal plants 3

Coal-fired power plants’ greenhouse-gas emissions shouldn’t be taken into consideration when determining whether to approve their construction, EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson ruled this week. The ruling could clear the way for at least a handful of new coal plants to be approved in the final days of the Bush administration. “The current concerns over global climate change should not drive EPA into adopting an unworkable policy of requiring emission controls,” Johnson wrote.

Ha...Johnson should be lead away in shackles and locked up, along with the rest of the Bush-Cheney admin. Sadly, high profile criminals in this country get pardoned and go off to lucrative careers as think tank apparatchiks and 5-figure lecturers. It's no wonder our country is as corrupt as it is: these cretins, Democratic and Republican, commit crimes against their constituents and the Constitution every day and we all take it. And what's worse, we praise their "knowledge" and "wisdom". Two of the biggest perpe-traitors of the whole financial mess, Larry Summers and Robert Rubin, are now holding prominent positions in the new Obama administration. O is either a genius, or a complete patsy. Considering some of his other appointments, Vilsack in particular, I go with idiot. Pass the lube, please.

Good news: civil disobedience against coal plantsI was outraged when I read the above news. Then I learned that Wendell Berry and Bill McKibben are leading a mass act of civil disobedience against coal plants in early March, and inviting us to join them.
