BREAKING: Gore still not running!

We’re staying on top of this story 3

So a bunch of onetime Gore advisers and aides gathered for a meal last night:

Among those longtime Gore loyalists who munched on a buffet of sandwiches and salmon at the [Gore friend and ally Peter] Knight home: Longtime powerhouse Dem fundraiser and Democratic National Committeeman Robert Zimmerman; Knight's wife, Gail Britton; Tom Hendrickson, the former North Carolina Democratic Party chair; Mary Pat Bonner, founder of the Bonner Group; Dr. Richard Boxer, a Gore adviser on health care; Alan Kessler, a former Gore fundraiser; and Roy Neal, former Gore chief of staff.

Forming a super-secret shadow campaign?!?1

No. They all agree he's not running.

Sigh.

Is his house solar yet?Could somebody please refer Al Gore to the North Carolina Green Building Database because until he gets his own house in order people on the net are going to chop him apart. Yeah, I know he's got solar panels (maybe) and buys carbon credits.
He could also speak out against CC&R's and HOA's that deny homeowners the right to install solar panels, swap landscaping for lawns or plant shade trees where needed.
I think Al is better off being a pain in the current crop of candidates butt's than going through the election process.

Only Candidate More Defeatable Than Hillary

Go ahead, run Gore if you Defeat-O-Crats want...he's the only candidate who could possibly do worse than Hillary.

Lunched with Al Gore today...No, really!  Me and hundreds of others.  (But I did sit at the table right next to him.)
Funny story.  5:00 PM on my day off, my boss tells me that I am to go to a "Photoshop CS3 conference" the following morning; I know no other details about the conference.  Turns out that Al Gore was the keynote speaker. Big treat for me, an Environmentalist and admirer.
He gave a short version of his "Inconvenient Truth" presentation.  After, he was asked what individuals could do to help combat CC, and also asked what he does, personally.  He said that they had solar panels installed on their (100-year-old) home last week.  Also, that they buy green energy.
He is so passionate about CC, so charismatic in his delivery, and funny(!). Now, I don't mind so much if he does not run.  He really seems in his element, as EduTainer. And, he certainly couldn't do much standup as president of the U.S. (Of course, Dubyah makes me laugh every time he opens his frickin' mouth.)
He also gushed -- no really, gushed -- about the iPhone...like a 10-year-old boy. I swear, I think that he actually giggled.  Said that "it is cooler than you think".
So, a boy, a slideshow, and an iPhone.  Life complete.
