    sadly, a bit preciousWell, on balance, it is a very good thing that Bill Moyers made this show.  But I rather wish he had shown more of Carson's appearance before Congress.  The brief excerpts were fascinating.
    As for Kaiulani Lee, she has done an admirable labor, in researching Carson's life so thoroughly, and assembling the highlights of what she found into an intelligent work for theater.  Sadly, her performance seemed to be a bit weak and overly sweet, lacking the bracing energy that is required to lift the play above the level of the merely precious.

    Chickens are our cousins! So are fish! So are other sentient animals! Let us learn to be kind.
