    Seattle Science Lecture Series

Did you know that Lomborg is speaking tonight 7:30pm, at Town Hall in Seattle as apart of the Seattle Science Lecture Series?

How exactly did he get on a 'science' lecture circuit?

    This should be interesting...

    Powerful reviews

I was able to read Break Through: in the bookstore.   I don't know yet if I'll buy it, but it looked pretty good.

    Can anyone stop it?

These kind of reviews always come from a rosy place - i.e., the world is fine now, but will be damaged in the future.

What planet do you live on? 10,000 children die every month today from easily preventable disease. Do you think reducing carbon emissions will help solve this problem?

Research shows that poverty leads people to fight. Population controls tend towards greater numbers of males than females, i.e. greater numbers of people with an inclination to fight.

Fighters lead to international instability. In this climate, do you think any international deal can stop fossil fuels being burnt? The UN is a failing institute, primarily because the world leaders of today have no direct experience of large-scale war.

How do you propose to control the measures you propose to introduce to control the burning of fossil fuels?

"He was one of those men who think that the world can be saved by writing a pamphlet." - Benjamin Disraeli
