An average Jo got it stick figured out

A video story of post-election hopes for the planet 6

Now that the most epic presidential election of our lives is over, Americans should have plenty of free time on our hands. So, what next?

This is where Jo comes in. She's an average American looking for real -- heck, any -- leadership on climate change from a shiny new President Obama. And she's got a thing or two to say about how he should get started on it.

Coincidentally, Jo is a stick figure person. But that doesn't mean her ideas are any less valid than all the other Jo(e)'s from this election season. Check out her story below.

The science and multimedia-loving Ashley Braun writes, tweets, and Facebooks for Grist. And sometimes she does this for herself. You should follow her on Twitter, but not in real life. That’s called “stalking,” you creepster.

Way to go JoJo, it's great to see somebody in the family take the lead and put themselves out there ... you've made the whole twig clan proud.

If a twigg falls in the forest but nobody is there to hear it, it's probably best because there is bound to be cussing.

JoObama's win gives cautious optimism for real environmental progress. We must keep his "feet to the fire" to fight corporate america and their huge lobbying machines.

Nice drawings!Congratulations!, this is very well designed.
    The music is cute, too.
As for "crapper": The meaning is clear enough, but it is not a term I am familiar with.  Is it a West-Coast-ism?  An under-30-ism?  A bit of both?
Anyway, we can imagine environmentalists dividing into two parties, depending on what they think about Planet Earth in the "crapper": Has it really been flushed away, so that rescuing it requires the use of a plunger?; or, Is it just floating in the water, so that rescuing it requires only plucking it out and rinsing it off?

Powering The White HouseJimmy Carter, the last president who tried to do something substantial for the environment, put solar panels on the White House.  Ronald Reagan had them removed.  If Obama is to be taken seriously on his talk about renewable energy, the first thing he should do is replace them and get legislation passed that prevents removing them.  Unfortunately, it looks like Obama is just following the corporate "green" line, promoting harmful big projects instead of user-based ones, like solar panels and wind generators on roofs.

Obama - post turtle.Video is cute and very relevant for our young misguided voters as they will witness first hand bait and switch, something not taught within our education system now a days.
