They've Got It Down to a Science

House report condemns “systematic” Bush admin climate-science manipulation 1

"The Bush administration has engaged in a systematic effort to manipulate climate change science and mislead policymakers and the public about the dangers of global warming," concludes a report from the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. The report, written by the Democratic majority, is the product of a 16-month investigation into the Bush administration's alleged climate-science tampering, including accusations that it edited climate scientists' testimony to Congress, limited the public's access to government climate scientists, suppressed scientific views out of line with the administration's, and edited climate documents to emphasize uncertainties and play down humans' role in climate change. Republicans called the congressional report "a partisan diatribe" saying it was "biased and incomplete." Wonder what they missed.

    Wonder what they missed?

Do you really wonder what they missed?  How about some FACTS?

Here are some of the "facts" that are used by the global warming lobby:

    • Some tree rings are fatter than others.
    • Some air bubbles in ice cores have less nitrogen than other bubbles.
    • 5% of the Antarctic ice cap is losing ice while the other 95% is gaining ice.

    And I love this one:

    - Photographs of glaciers in the 21st century indicate that the glaciers are smaller that they are depicted in paintings from 200 years ago.

    Here is a real fact:

The dire predictions of anthropogenic global warming are predicated on numerical computer models of the earth's atmosphere.  These models evolved from the very same models that were predicting global cooling in the late '70s and early '80s.

Guess what?  The earth cools and warms periodically and there is nothing you puny humans can do about it. 10,000 years ago, Cro-magnon man was hoping for some global warming.  I am still waiting for a paleontologist to uncover the prehistoric SUV that Cr-magnon invented to make the ice sheets retreat.

    You guys crack me up.
