The Daily Show with Jon Stewart hosted Interior Secretary Ken Salazar last week for a rather awkward interview. Salazar seemed nervous, but with Stewart’s help he did a pretty good job explaining what the Interior Department does and how it’s making sure oil and gas companies pay fairly for leasing federal land. Salazar also did a lot of alluding to “cleaning up” the post-Bush mess at Interior. And he gave Stewart a cowboy hat.
