Get it? Mirman/Merman/Mermaid?
Disney of course didn't come up with most of the stories for their movies and "The Little Mermaid" is no exception: they took famous Danish story teller Hans Christian Andersen's dark tale by the same title and turned it into a cute movie for kids in the same way they took Shakespeare's "Hamlet" and, voila, made it in into "The Lion King". Man, they're good!
I just learned about Grist today while Googling COP15 and when I saw Mirman's name, I confess I thought it was a joke. What a cool name!
I'll be spending Xmas and NY in my hometown Copenhagen (live by L.A.) and happen to be flying in on December 15 when the VIP segment of COP15 begin -I fly from Los Angeles-Washington DC-Copenhagen so most likely there'll be some COP15 delegates on board my flight which got me thinking: most of the delegates will be blowing hot air while making speeches and empty promises so won't they in effect be contributing to global warming? Or am I being a party pooper?
P.S. Hey, Eugene if you wanna hang out in Copenhagen before you fly back to Seattle, let me know!
