During the Barcelona climate talks, U.N. climate chief Yvo de Boer sat down with the “Adopt a Negotiator” project to talk about what’s most critical as the world looks forward to the COP15 summit in Copenhagen.
“I don’t think that we can wait any longer to take action,” he said. “I’m confident that it can be done, but in order for a deal to be sealed at Copenhagen, we need the spirit of compromise … and that means that you have to tell your decision-makers that you are behind a strong agreement in Copenhagen and that you will back them in working towards that.”
