The photos in this gallery were taken by Madeleine Brancaccio, a 17-year-old New Jersey photographer who accompanied a PBS news crew to Denmark ahead of the U.N. climate change summit in Copenhagen. What she saw through her viewfinder were Danish people making major strides toward sustainability against a backdrop of coal-fired power plants still belching plenty of carbon dioxide.
