Chevron agrees to lobby with Sierra Club to end coal subsidies 0

Carl Pope, Executive Director of the Sierra Club, faced off with Dave O’Reilly, CEO of Chevron, in a semi-awkward debate about the future of energy policy in the U.S. At the end of this clip is the coup de awk when Pope makes O’Reilly shake in agreement about lobbying to get Big Coal out of the way for innovative energy legislation. It’s anyone’s guess if this Seriously Odd Couple will actually make good on it.
